After some planning, vacation supply gathering, one ship trip full of pins n' needles, Rui and Cali have landed at the Sevii Islands. Well, more specifically, they landed at the Island One Resort Hotel to stay at. What a wonderful way to kick off the winter holiday season as Cali goes to get sunblock on Chantilly, Sweet Sixteen, and Alfinse, though Alfinse seems to be a bit confused by the sunblock. Is it not something to slurp at? It smells like delicious coconut Cali! Little tongue blips ensue from Alfinse as he tries to get the 'delicious' sunblock from his little snoot with Chantilly watching in awe as Sweet Sixteen goes to sunbath.

"Dude, this is gonna be such a sweet vacation! What do you wanna try first after resting up?" Cali excitedly asked as she looks over to Rui, voice as chipper as ever.

Rui pulls out a pamphlet all about Sevii Islands, and flips through it.

"I don't see why we should wait until we're rested to start enjoying ourselves. There is a hot spring not too far from here. The walk would be a nice way to get rid of the cabin fever too, don't you think?"

He flips through the pages he's already memorized some more. "If that's no good, however, Berry Forest and the Pokemon Games on Two Island sound fun once we're ready to do more exciting activities," Rui added. Nepeta, the Meowscarada, lets out a fired up meow at the mention of the games.

"What are you looking forward to?"

Cali looks on wide eyed at the options that the pamphlet to the Sevii Islands have to offer in wonderment before gently booping Rui's nose with a bit of sunscreen too. Gotta protect oneself from the dread ravages of Mr. Sun's death rays.

"I love this idea, I'm on board with the hot springs! Think we can get one of those hot spring eggs to enjoy too as well? I heard they're delicious."

Goodness though, Cali was enthralled with all the options being presented by Rui as she listens to him list them off. Chantilly looks up innocently in awe at the idea of going to a forest of berries, that sounded magical to the small Buneary.

"Oh dude, what about Island Four? I heard they had cute baby Pokemon there."

Rui chuckles as he's booped. They'll have to wash the sunscreen off at the hotsprings anyway, but its a good idea for the walk there.

"I'm not sure. We can check when we get there." Rui hasn't been to a natural hot springs either, having spent most of his life in Tokyo proper, so he's excited for it too. Nepeta walks closer to Cali, looking over her shoulder at the pamphlet. Being a Pokemon, she can't read, but she wants to feel included.

"We should definitely visit there, then. Maybe they'll even let us help care for them as volunteers?" Which isn't much of a vacation activity, but it sounds fun to Rui anyway. "After we get out of the hot springs, we can write up a loose itinerary, to make sure we visit every place we want to go."

No worries here! Storytime with Cali has paid off a bit with Sweet Sixteen who grumpily decides he'll be the designated reading teacher for this group. The grumpiest old apple pie knows how to read save us all...soon he'll be close to talking...

"Good idea, I hope they do, I've heard good things about the hot spring eggs." Cali wanted that delicious custard like egg dish, it sounds and looks so good, it's a siren song officially to a Cali next to sugar.

"I love this idea, I'm on board with volunteering." Cali looked incredibly excited for this idea...."OOOH! Okay yeah we should make ourselves an itinerary, though everything looks so much fun on there."

"Wonderful~" Rui says, heading in the direction of the hot springs. "It sounds like we'll have quite the fun vacation."

And if Rui lays out the itinerary in such a way that they don't ride boats more than absolutely necessary, then that's just more time for fun, right?

"If we don't get to everything this time, then we'll just have to come back some time."

"I think so too Rui, I'm so glad we're doing this for the winter holiday." Cali makes mental plans of getting a nice gift for Ryver once they find their way back...baby girl no.

Cali goes to lead her Pokemon out of the resort for the Hot Spring, Sweet Sixteen getting a sinking feeling he'll have to be the responsible adult figure for the two hyperactive humans. The joys of being an old man Pokemon.

"That sounds good to me, maybe when we return, Ryver might be back from being lost to enjoy the Sevii Islands with us."

Quatre had found out when Cali's birthday not too long after he had opened the hotel. He was rather excited and wanted to do something to celebrate so he had gotten her a gift. He had sent her a message wishing her happy birthday and asking if she wanted to come over to the hotel for a bit to celebrate.

So he was waiting for even as he was working at the front desk, looking over information from the night before. Three of his Starly with bow ties on were sitting on the counter, waiting to welcome visitors and guests. While they waited, they were talking to each other.

When Cali got the message from Quatre, there was no doubts in her mind and went about teleporting in from Ecruteak City to Goldenrod with her three Pokemon: Sweet Sixteen, Chantilly, and Alfinse. It had been a while since she last met with Quatre, but was thrilled to be seeing him once again and at the hotel no less too!

It doesn't take too long before Cali is coming through the hotel door and into the Lobby with her band of three, cheery as ever and excited to see Quatre once more. HERE COMES THE RAINBOW PLAGUE DOCTOR!

Quatre looked up hearing the chime on the door and all three Starly chirp in greeting. They definitely look happy to have visitors.

"Cali, it is good to see you again. Thanks for taking the time to come over. Gigi!"

There's a faint squeak from the backroom and then as quick as her little legs can go, Gigi is racing out to go see Chantilly.

"I hope the trip here was pleasant."

"It's great to see you again too, Quatre! How've you and the hotel business been doing?"

Cali goes to let Chantilly go speed over to Gigi who is just as excited to see her friend again after so long ago!

Cali smiled behind her mask merrily. "It was a smooth trip over on the warp pads, we had such a fun time with the snow for a little bit as well, though Sweets wanted to stay in the backpack for it."

Sweet Sixteen huffed a bit at that, he's old and has a double weakness to ice thank you very much Cali! Alfinse just looks at the old apple pie dragon in confusion, aren't apple pies supposed to be sweet?

"We're doing great, thank you for asking. I think now that we have been open for a bit, we're starting to get more guests."

It wasn't anything crazy and he'd never really wanted it to be like a large hotel, but doing something cozy where people could spend time and stay the night while traveling.

Gigi can toddling over after as fast as she could and hugged Chantilly. Hello friend.

"The warp pads do make for a quick trip at at least. Oh, did you enjoy the snow?"

He didn't blame Sweet Sixteen. He'd like the snow better if it wasn't so cold.

"Dude that's awesome! I'm thrilled you're getting more guests now, it's such a nice hotel."

It was still magical in Cali's eyes, especially since there's no hotels on the Orions. Chantilly, in the meantime is hugging Gigi in return as she excitedly says hello to her friend in Pokemonese. The magic of friendship is strong within these two tiny Pokemon.

"We sure did, Chantilly and Alfinse got to make a snowman before arriving here. It's insanely adorable too, like I got a picture of it before coming over." Cali goes to get out her PokeGear to show to Quatre.

Sure enough, there's a pretty adorable Snowman made by a pair of Pokemon using some spare wooden buttons for the face.
